2. Now determine who the target audiences are for that corporation. To whom do they sell? To whom do they speak? How do they speak to audiences to whom they do not consciously speak? How do they speak differently to different audiences? How do they define those differences in their audiences? (i.e. race, gender, age, sexuality, nationality, etc.).

3. Now develop five images that describe your corporate subject’s target audience(s) (same as above). These images should be unique enough to function as a foundation for a future project of yours (assuming “uniqueness” is something that you seek in your work). These images should most likely be photographs. They can be as simple as snapshots or, for those of you who are photographers, more finished. Images can be historical, found, documentary, or staged. Please limit found imagery (i.e., magazine, newspaper, etc.) to two images and re-photograph them. Presentation can be simple. I will probably just ask you to pin the images to the wall. Alternatives include video, slides, film, performance. If you choose any of these alternatives, please come to class prepared to present (arrange to bring a video player and monitor, etc.).
